Focus on regional energy supply and citizen participation at iwe

Under the motto “Energy transition. Here. Now.” the whole of Bavaria will be demonstrating from July 14 to 16, 2023, how the energy transition is succeeding on both a large and small scale. Numerous stakeholders are organizing informative, entertaining and interactive actions and events during this weekend. The Institute for Hydrogen and Energy Technology at Hof University of Applied Sciences (iwe) will be taking part in the campaign on July 14 from noon to 6 p.m. with an event on the topic of “Regional Energy Supply and Citizen Participation.”

The planned information event at the Einstein1 digital startup center in Hof will focus on the various forms of regional energy supply – such as wind, photovoltaics and local heating. “But also the sale of energy, contracting and car sharing models coupled with renewable energy will be addressed. To this end, best-practice examples will be presented that can be used as a guide,” says Institute Director Prof. Dr. Tobias Plessing. Another topic will be consumer participation – whether in the form of deposits, venture capital or through non-monetary forms of participation. Registration for the event is now open at email: projekt-adern@hof-university.de
