How will the energy supply of the future work? Which technologies will prevail, and what political and legal frameworks are necessary to make this happen? Answers to these and many other questions will be provided at the 7th Hof Energy Symposium, which will take place on Thursday, November 26, 2026, at Hof University of Applied Sciences. The symposium is organized by the Institute for Hydrogen and Energy Technology (iwe) at Hof University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with the Competence Network for Water and Energy e. V. and is sponsored by the Technology Alliance of Upper Franconia (TAO).
The one-day symposium combines scientific insights with practical applications. Renowned speakers from companies, research institutions, and professional associations will shed light on current challenges and present innovative solutions for a secure, sustainable, and economical energy supply. The event kicks off with a keynote address by Prof. Dr. Johannes Glückler on the topic “The Dark Side of Innovation.” He will focus on the great significance of scientific controversies and how they can be harnessed for innovation processes. Following this, participants can look forward to a varied program featuring parallel technical sessions.
