Scholarship award ceremony
Hof University of Applied Sciences awards scholarships to international students every semester. Students are selected primarily on the basis of their academic achievements in Hof. In addition, the scholarship holders are selected on the basis of their German language skills and their commitment outside of their studies.
The scholarships are funded by the DAAD’s STIBET program, funds from the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts, the Society of Sponsors and Friends of Hof University of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Continuing Education.
The international students who received a scholarship in the winter semester 2023/2024 are enrolled on various Bachelor’s and Master’s degree courses in the Faculties of Computer Science, Engineering and Informatics and come from more than ten countries, including Egypt, Brazil, India, Cameroon, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey and Ukraine.
Presentation of the DAAD Prize
The DAAD Prize, which is endowed with €1,000 per university and has been awarded for more than ten years, is intended to help put faces to the large numbers of international students at German universities and connect them with stories. This makes it clear that every single international student takes a piece of Germany back home with them and leaves something of themselves in Germany – an enrichment for both sides.the students who have received such an award via their respective host university stand for their fellow students from all over the world. They are future partners for Germany in business, politics and science.
