Hof University of Applied Sciences is benefiting from the Free State of Bavaria’s major university construction initiative. As announced by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts, renovation work totaling just under two million euros will be carried out on the Münchberg campus. In particular, plans call for the renovation of the roof and facade of a university building.
With these planned measures, the Free State of Bavaria is strengthening the physical infrastructure of Hof University of Applied Sciences and sending an important signal of support for the historic textile campus in Münchberg. The renovation will help preserve the buildings for the long term, improve their energy efficiency, and continue to provide students and staff with modern teaching, research, and working conditions.

Part of a Statewide Construction Initiative
These measures are part of Bavaria’s university construction initiative, through which the Free State is accelerating renovation and new construction projects at universities throughout the state. In Upper Franconia, a total of ten projects with a combined budget of approximately 22 million euros are being implemented. As part of the higher education construction initiative, Bavaria is providing a total of approximately one billion euros for renovations and new construction.
Hof University is working closely with the Bayreuth State Building Authority and the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts to implement the planned projects swiftly.
