How do you become a professor at a university of applied sciences? What does the job involve—and do I already meet the requirements? Answers to these questions will be provided during two workshop days on university professorships, hosted by the Go2Hof4ever | Go to Hof and stay forever project.

The two-day event is aimed at external interested parties from business and science, doctoral students, and research assistants who are interested in a professorship at a university of applied sciences. The aim is to make the job profile tangible, provide insights into everyday working life, and highlight possible career paths. This is because potential applicants often do not know that they already meet the requirements or are only one step away from doing so.
Insights, exchange, practical relevance
The first day of the workshop focuses on teaching: from the role of the professor to teaching culture and didactics to the design of courses and competence-oriented testing. First-hand experience reports provide an authentic impression of everyday working life and the general conditions.
The second day is devoted to the appointment process and research. Topics include strategies for application documents, the development of research proposals, third-party funded projects, and practical exercises on current funding formats. Experts provide valuable insights and tips.
In addition to the content-related input, both days offer opportunities for personal exchange—for example, at a get-together with snacks and drinks.
