On Wednesday, October 4, the winter semester 2023/24 begins at Bavarian universities of applied sciences. Hof University of Applied Sciences welcomes around 900 first-year students to the Hof campus as part of its induction days. The students of the higher semesters start on Thursday, 05.10. with the courses at their respective locations Hof, Kronach, Münchberg and Selb. In total, more than 3800 students are enrolled at Hof University of Applied Sciences at the beginning of the winter semester.
The development of the psychology department at the Faculty of Business and Economics, in which the university offers a bachelor’s degree in business psychology as well as a master’s degree in applied psychology, is pleasing. With the introductory days, we offer our first-year students an excellent opportunity to network with each other, get to know their new university home as well as the professors. Induction Days 2023
A successful study program begins with a good start, and that is exactly what the introduction days are for, which were relaunched last year. These will take place on Wednesday, 04.10.2023 at 09.15 for all “Erstis” in Foyer B at the Hof Campus. All first-year students from the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs are invited.
Orientation Weeks for international students
On 22.09.2023 and thus a good two weeks before the start of the semester, the new international students (on and offline) already started an extensive orientation program with the so-called Orientation Weeks. This is organized by the International Office and the Welcome Center of Hof University of Applied Sciences and is intended to make it easier for international students to get started in Hof or in Germany in general.
For the winter semester, the university expects around 190 full students (15 in the Bachelor’s program, the rest in the Master’s program and 115 of them in the Graduate School) and approximately 80 exchange students, equally distributed among all three faculties. The international students come from all over Europe as well as Asia (Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Iran, Pakistan, India, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Syria, Turkey), Russia, Africa (Cameroon, Nigeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Kenya, Algeria) and Latin America (Peru, Mexico).
Welcome Event of the City of Hof
The city of Hof invites all first-year students of Hof University of Applied Sciences and the University of Public Service in Bavaria (HföD) to a Welcome Party at the Theater Hof on 04.10.2023. Food, drinks and entertainment will be provided by Hof City Marketing. Start is at 5:30 p.m. in the foyer of the Theater Hof.
