The Future of Mobility – Mobility Design Days 2026 Returns to Munich

On July 24 and 25, 2026, Hof University will host the Mobility Design Days 2026 at MOTORWORLD Munich. In ICONS HALL 1 at MOTORWORLD Munich, students from three design programs will present their projects: Design and Mobility (B.A.), Artificial Intelligence-Aided Mobility Design (M.A.), and Textile Design (B.A.). For the AMD master’s program, this will be the first public showcase of student work.

MOTORWORLD Munich is one of the most important venues for German automotive culture. ICONS HALL 1 (Address: Motorworld Munich, Icons Hall 1, Am Ausbesserungswerk 7, 80939 Munich)—a spacious exhibition hall in the historic, listed main building—provides the setting for an exhibition that directly links the content with the venue.

Exhibition and Forum

The Mobility Design Days 2026 combine an exhibition, expert discussions, and live demonstrations. Friday, July 24, begins at 12:00 p.m. and concludes with an evening panel discussion at 8:30 p.m. On Saturday, July 25, the program concludes at 5:00 p.m. with the awards ceremony.

Unveiled to the public for the first time: In-house AI design software

A special highlight of both days will be the live demos of the AI design software developed in-house by Hof University of Applied Sciences—shown to the public for the very first time. Visitors will get a first-hand look at how students use AI tools that were developed specifically for the mobility design process within the AMD degree program—from concept generation to formal elaboration. The demos will take place on Friday at 4:00 p.m. and on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

The Participating Degree Programs

The exhibition features curated semester projects from three degree programs: Design and Mobility (B.A.) presents selected final and semester projects from six bachelor’s semesters—ranging from vehicle design to systemic mobility concepts to AI-supported design processes. Artificial Intelligence Aided Mobility Design (M.A.) is presenting semester projects to the public for the first time: In the second of three master’s semesters, the program offers an initial glimpse into a curriculum that consistently integrates design and artificial intelligence. Textile Design is represented with a pop-up exhibition.
