Start for the Regional Future Center AI “pulsnetz.de – healthy work”

The regional future center KI “pulsnetz.de – gesund arbeiten” (pulsnetz KI) wants to make employees of the social economy fit for the working world of tomorrow. The goal is to relieve and strengthen employees through digital and AI-supported applications. Hof University of Applied Sciences is also involved in the project with the newly founded research group “Innovative Health Care” at the Institute for Information Systems (iisys).

Under the project management of the Diakonisches Werk Baden, ten organizations are cooperating for a successful implementation of the project. André Peters, Chief Financial Officer Diakonie Baden: “With this project, we want to make it easier for the many thousands of employees in the social economy to access the topic of “healthy working”. Modern technology and artificial intelligence are not an end in themselves; the focus is on people.” Prof. Dr. Dietmar Wolff, head of the new research group at Hof University of Applied Sciences defines the goal of the project thus

We want to develop the competence for employees and managers in the industry to recognize useful digital or AI-based technologies for their own work, to use them and also to develop them creatively. This will take some of the pressure off themselves, save them time and strengthen their work organization.”

Prof. Dr. Dietmar Wolff, research group leader

The Regional Future Center for Artificial Intelligence is aimed in particular at small and medium-sized enterprises and their employees from Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia and Berlin. In terms of content, pulsnetz KI is all about healthy and safe work for caregivers, educators, social workers and managers in the social economy – also with a view to ethical issues. Employees learn and test how to use digital and technical applications, and develop skills and confidence in them

To ensure that this succeeds, pulsnetz KI is planning further development on these topics:

– AI-based health assistance-
occupation-specific tailored online offers, e.
g
.
interactive eLearning and health apps-
innovative health-oriented duty scheduling-
on-site demonstrations of the developments-
consultations for facilities

The pulsnetz KI project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) as part of the “Future Centers KI” program. The offers and findings of the Regional Future Center are published on the Internet platform www.pulsnetz.de.
