In a festive setting, Hof University of Applied Sciences awarded Germany Scholarships to particularly high-achieving and committed students for the fourteenth time. 25 new scholarship holders were selected for the 2025/26 funding period. The certificates were presented by University President Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Lehmann in person. Each of the scholarship holders will receive EUR 3,600 for at least one year – funded by private sponsors and the federal government.

Hof University of Applied Sciences has been an active partner since the start of the nationwide program in 2011. Thanks to the continued support of companies, foundations, associations and private individuals, well over one million euros have now been raised for the promotion of young talent.
Wide range of disciplines among the recipients
The current scholarships go in particular to students on Bachelor’s degree courses in computer science, engineering, business administration, business psychology and electrical engineering. There are also Master’s students from the fields of Human Resources and Work, International Project Management and Sustainable Water Management and Engineering.
Outstanding commitment from companies
Some sponsors make a special contribution to the success of the program: The Wilo Foundation is making eight scholarships possible this year, while Thüga SmartService GmbH is sponsoring three more talented students. A total of six sponsors took part in this year’s award ceremony.
Networking at the traditional speed dating event
Speed dating has been an integral part of the event for years. This allows students and sponsors to interact directly and make valuable contacts in the regional economy. Claus Beyerlein, responsible for fundraising at Hof University of Applied Sciences, emphasizes the importance of the funding programme: “Every year, the Deutschlandstipendium shows anew how closely networked our university is with its supporters. This community strengthens our students – and the entire region benefits from it.”
The sponsoring companies:
