On November 13, more than 50 IT managers from all over Upper Franconia accepted the joint invitation from the Institute for Information Systems (iisys) at Hof University of Applied Sciences and LAMILUX to a specialist event on the latest developments in information technology. The evening offered a compact overview of trends, best practices and concrete application examples from corporate practice.

Between 18:00 and 20:00, participants were treated to a three-part lecture program with top-class speakers:
From 3-Tier to HCI: How REHAU Simplifies Edge Sites with Nutanix
Michael Heistruevers (Nutanix) and Stefan Kammerer (REHAU) used a real transformation project to show how companies can modernize, simplify and operate edge locations more sustainably by switching to hyperconverged infrastructures.
Applied AI – case studies from practice
Jean-Michel Dannemann (CANCOM) demonstrated practical application scenarios of artificial intelligence and illustrated how companies can already achieve noticeable added value through AI today.
Data backup from Microsoft 365 and other SaaS services
Sven Haubold (Arcserve) explained why backups of cloud services are essential and what risks arise without appropriate strategies. The presentation also offered specific recommendations for reliable data backup and addressed numerous questions from the audience.
Following the lecture program, the participants took advantage of a get-together with snacks and drinks for in-depth discussions, professional exchange and networking. The event thus provided an ideal setting for regional IT decision-makers to network with each other and discuss current challenges in the IT landscape.
Iisys and LAMILUX would like to thank all speakers, guests and partners for the successful organization and the lively exchange.
