Dr. Molla Tadesse Abate is new Humboldt Fellow at Hof University of Applied Sciences

He's been around a lot: Ethiopian Dr. Molla Tadesse Abate. In Germany, the postdoc has just been nominated for the Georg Forster Research Award, one of the prestigious fellowships of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Rare Disease Tracking App: “Citizens do Research with Us!”

With about 8000 different rare diseases and about 4 million people affected in Germany, the findings of science are more difficult to access. The project SelEe - Rare Diseases - aims to remedy this situation and increase the visibility for these diseases. An app has just been created (Android and iOS) and is intended to bring together a wide variety of data. [more]
