On Friday, July 26, 2024 from 09:30 to 17:00, Hof University of Applied Sciences, the most popular university in Germany according to studycheck.de, will be holding its Applicant Day. Both prospective students who have already decided on their desired course of study at Hof University of Applied Sciences and those who are still undecided can obtain comprehensive information on this day. The Central Student Advisory Service team and representatives from the Faculties of Computer Science, Engineering and Economics are looking forward to welcoming potential new students in person and answering their questions.

“We would like to use the Applicants’ Day to provide future students with the best possible information about studying and living in Hof and convince those who are still undecided to start their studies at our modern and friendly university. So, dear prospective students, take this opportunity and join us on 26 July to clarify any questions you still have about a successful start to your studies in the winter semester,” says University President Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Lehmann.
Program of the Applicant Day
After registration from 9.30 a.m., when prospective students will receive a surprise from the Hofer Volksfest, which starts at the same time, the Applicants’ Day will begin for all participants at 10.00 a.m. in Audimax B 023 with a welcome from the University’s Chancellor. Following the official welcome, the three faculties will provide information about their Bachelor’s degree courses and will be available to answer students’ questions about application, admission and enrolment as well as the course content and requirements of their chosen degree courses. Guided tours through the excellently equipped laboratories of the individual faculties and the Hof campus complete the program.

Initial personal contacts with lecturers or fellow students can be made and deepened during a joint lunch. In addition, the BAföG office will provide information on topics relating to student financing and students from the numerous student initiatives will present their involvement in everyday student life and beyond.
Workshop for choosing a course of study
Anyone who is still unsure about their choice of degree course is invited to take part in the “Competence Booster” workshop, in which individual strengths are identified. You can register for the workshop when you register for the Applicants’ Day.
