The Institute for Information Systems at Hof University of Applied Sciences (iisys) invites you to the event “Smart Factory, Digital Manufacturing and Industrie 4.0 through Vertical Integration” on November 30, 2020 from 16:30 – 18:30h
Modern production is characterized by networking. However, the added value of digital networking can only be exploited if the various systems, from the web store to the ERP system to the MES at store floor level, function as an integrated overall solution and are coordinated with each other in terms of planning. As part of its research activities, iisys supports companies in designing and implementing these vertica le integrations and in aligning corporate resources
With this event two promising transfer and research projects shall be presented.
Factory of the future
With the “Factory of the Future”, a scalable, flexible and automated solution has been created in (student) own work and with SAP on-board resources, which represents an essential and resilient basis for Industry 4.0: Florian Roßner will present the SAP implementation, from the ERP system to the machine control at store floor level, of a customer’s make-to-order production in the end-to-end vertically integrated factory.
Project Moonrise
The HiCuMES technology transfer project created a highly customizable production planning and control system that is easily adaptable to the different needs of different companies, is available as open source software, and works well with ERP systems such as SAP. The follow-up project “Moonrise” under the direction of Prof. Dr. René Peinl will continue this research.
