Hof University of Applied Sciences is starting the 2025 summer semester with around 3,600 students, including almost 500 first-semester students in the faculties of Business and Economics, Computer Science, Engineering and Interdisciplinary and Innovative Sciences as well as in Continuing Education. This means that student numbers remain largely stable compared to the previous year.

“We are delighted that we will once again be welcoming almost 500 first-year students to the university’s four campuses in Hof, Münchberg, Kronach and Selb at the start of the 2025 summer semester,” says President Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Lehmann. And further:
‘Hof University of Applied Sciences is an attractive educational location both nationally and internationally. With our focus on future topics such as sustainability and digitalization, we have our finger on the pulse of the times and prepare our students optimally for the challenges of their future careers.”
Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Lehmann
The Bachelor’s degree courses in Computer Science, Business Administration and Engineering are particularly popular with first-semester students this year. In the Master’s area, the Applied Research in Computer Science and Operational Excellence courses are also very popular.

Due to the absence of the Abitur year in Bavaria, caused by the return to the nine-year Gymnasium, Hof University of Applied Sciences is expecting student numbers to fall slightly for 2025 as a whole.
