Hof bioplastics conference achieves new registration record early on

The small ones learn from the big ones – that is the motto of the upcoming Bioplastics Conference at Hof University of Applied Sciences on February 23 and 24, 2022. Speakers from well-known companies such as Interseroh, Mitsubishi Chemical as well as Volkswagen AG will report on their approach to reducing plastic waste and restructuring production processes. The focus of the presentations is on the transfer of knowledge from large to small companies, as the big players demonstrate what is already being implemented. The big players will show where the state of development in bioplastics lies and what has already been put into practice.

The topics of the conference are broad. The fifteen lectures will deal with bioplastics from A to Z. Special emphasis will be placed on synthesis, processing, application and degradation. To allow participants to tailor their program, all presentations will be presented in 2-minute pitches on the first day of the conference. This gives participants an overview of the entire conference within sixty minutes and allows them to choose the presentations that are best for them personally. This innovative concept was already successfully introduced at the previous conference

Panel discussion between users and scientists

In addition to posters from science, the processing industry but also tool manufacturers and material developers, the panel discussion is a highlight of the event. Experts and insiders from the field of recycling and composting of bioplastics will exchange views on trends, developments and challenges. Almost 150 guests have already registered.

On the pulse of time: conference is strong new platform

With the conference Bioplastics – Scientific and Industrial Trends, the Institute for Biopolymer Research at Hof University of Applied Sciences (ibp) aims to stimulate exchange on new issues related to bioplastics. That is our goal!”

Prof. Dr. Michael Nase, Institute Director ibp

With the European Social Fund, the Upper Franconia Foundation and the Friends and Sponsors of Hof University of Applied Sciences, there are good financing partners for the knowledge transfer project BiopolyMEHR. The conference is free of charge and takes place online on 23. and 24.2.2022.
