The Hofer Eisteich will reopen its doors to ice skating fans and leisure enthusiasts on November 1, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Just in time for the start of the fall vacations, the new season starts with a tried-and-tested offer and some exciting new features. Thanks to its close proximity to Hof University of Applied Sciences, the ice pond is particularly popular with students and has established itself as a meeting place for sporting activities, leisure fun and social gatherings.
A special highlight awaits visitors on Friday, November 7, 2025: The first ice disco of the season starts at 18:00, admission is from 17:30. Guests can party to cool beats and dance music on the ice rink. Refreshments will also be provided on site. Admission costs €6. Tickets are available from November 1 during regular opening hours at the ticket office or from the vending machines.
New features and offers
In addition to the ice disco, there are other new features and offers:
- Give the gift of ice time: Looking for a suitable present? How about an ice time on the Hof ice pond that you can spend together? You can choose from one-way tickets, 10-ticket or annual tickets. The vouchers are beautifully packaged and available at the ticket office during general opening hours.

Year-round recreational fun
The Hofer Eisteich pond offers numerous leisure activities not only in the cold season. Since 2018, the covered ice sports facility, the centerpiece of the site, has been available to ice sports enthusiasts during the winter months. In 2022, the outdoor facilities were extended so that the area around the ice rink now also offers year-round leisure fun. In addition to a pump track, skate park and fitness trail, there is also an inline skating circuit, fistball and multifunctional sports fields.
Thanks to its central location close to Hof University of Applied Sciences, many students make use of the wide range of facilities – whether for ice skating, playing sports or simply relaxing between lectures.
