With heart, humor and reliability: Heidi Kellner retires

When colleagues talk about Heidi Kellner, words such as “reliable”, “warm-hearted” and “dedicated” are always used. After 16 years at Hof University of Applied Sciences, the long-time employee of the Finance department is now retiring – leaving a noticeable gap.

Her career at Hof University of Applied Sciences began in September 2009 in the Procurement/Third Party Funding department, later the Finance/Purchasing department. It became clear early on that she fulfilled her diverse tasks – from central procurement and advising employees to inventory management – with a special blend of accuracy, professionalism and cordiality. Her door was always open, her experience was just as much in demand as her open and approachable manner. For many years, she was also a strong and empathetic advocate for the interests of employees on the staff council.

During this time, she experienced the dynamic development of Hof University of Applied Sciences at first hand:

“The rapid growth of the university was impressive. I directly experienced the changes due to its size, which were of course mainly visible in the areas of teaching and research.”

Through her work, she was in close contact with almost all areas of the university – and always found this enriching:

“I was able to work with colleagues from all areas and experienced a great deal of appreciation. Friendships have developed that will certainly last beyond my retirement.”

Heidi Kellner has clear plans for her future: “My greatest wish is to stay fit for a long time so that I can enjoy my hobbies – especially traveling.”

In Heidi Kellner, the Finance/Purchasing department is not only losing a highly competent colleague, but also a person whose humor, openness and empathy shaped and enriched the way we work together.
