A good proportion of the 130 or so scientists at Hof University of Applied Sciences have an international background. In order to strengthen the previously rather informal exchange between the different countries and cultures, a group has recently started meeting regularly for lunch. It consists of academics, administrative staff and scholarship holders.

The aim is for all international students to get to know each other better. Of course, things like work, housing and social interaction are also discussed: “The first two meetings have opened up the circle even further, I now know new colleagues – but there are certainly more interested people,” says Shantall Cisneros Saldana, who conducts research at the Institute for Information Systems (iisys). The fact that Hof University of Applied Sciences has a total of six research institutes means that it is not always easy to get to know everyone internationally.
We therefore cordially invite international academics, administrative staff and scholarship holders from our university to our next meeting. It will take place on July 1 on the terrace of the Italian restaurant “Da Angelo” (Wirthstraße 51) from 12:00 to 13:00. We would be delighted if as many new faces as possible could join us.”
