Like many industries, the textile industry is confronted with numerous changes due to digitalization and must react and reposition itself accordingly. Especially with regard to products and services and how these will be produced and implemented in the future, the industry is in the midst of upheaval. The Institute of Materials Science at Hof University of Applied Sciences (ifm) is taking up this topic as part of the new series of events “Technology Transfer – The Future: Textile Industry 4.0”. On July 20, 2021, the first event on this topic will focus on the issue of energy management.
The technology colloquia in the new event series will focus on joint competence building in topics relevant to the textile industry
The planned colloquia are mainly aimed at the regional, but also supra-regional textile industry – i.e. both small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as corporate groups. In addition to joint competence building, a “get-together” will also enable participants to establish new business relationships and cultivate them within the framework of the series of events.”
Dr. Eva Max, Institute for Materials Science (ifm)
The event will be kicked off by guest speaker Christian Wiedemann. As head of product management at KBR Kompensationsanlagenbau GmbH from Nuremberg, he will shed light on what sustainable and effective energy management in the manufacturing sector can look like and what role digital technologies play in this.
