Hof University of Applied Sciences is participating as a partner in the conference “Young Lawyers Along the Danube, ” which will take place from November 16 to 18, 2026 , at Széchenyi István University in Győr, Hungary. The goal of the conference is to bring together young lawyers from Germany, Austria, and Hungary to discuss current legal issues in a European context from a comparative law perspective.

A special highlight from the perspective of Hof University:
Prof. Dr. Beatrix Weber will lead the workshop “The Limits of Platform Regulation in the European Union—A Balanced Relationship Between Freedom of Expression, Market Power, and Digital Responsibility and Sovereignty.”
Students and doctoral candidates (ages 18–35) are cordially invited to apply by submitting an abstract. Selected papers will be presented at the conference—and papers from Prof. Weber’s workshop will also have the opportunity to be published in the series “Hofer Academic Papers on Law in Sustainability, Compliance, and IT.”
