Heinrich Hoffmann has been part of the team of the founding generation of the Hof University of Applied Sciences since 1996. For a total of 26 years since then, he has used his experience and skills to intensively prepare students for the practice-oriented trainer aptitude test every year anew – a total of over 800 students have been able to obtain a trainer certificate in this way. In a small ceremony, university president Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Lehmann, Prof. Dr. Ronald Hechtfischer and colleagues honored his outstanding work at Hof University of Applied Sciences and bid him farewell into a well-deserved retirement.
After training as a confectioner, Heinrich Hoffmann was called up for military service in 1965 and started his career as a professional soldier shortly thereafter. “Obeying and not being snivelling was part of my upbringing at home and at work,” Heinrich Hoffmann says of formative elements in his working life. From 1978 onwards, i.e. while still a soldier, he then took on lecturing activities for the IHK and HWK Bayreuth as well as at the Akademie Handel and other educational institutions.
“Training of trainers” a success story
In his first years at Hof University of Applied Sciences, together with Prof. Dr. Wunderatsch, he had launched the “Training of Trainers” (AdA) and systematically turned it into a success story. “Mr. Hoffmann was an important part of our team of lecturers. Around 30 AdA participants per year were able to successfully complete the training certificate through him and thus prepare future trainees for the working world. The Hof University of Applied Sciences thanks Mr. Heinrich Hoffmann for his many years as a lecturer and wishes him only the very best for his retirement,” said University President Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Lehmann in his appreciation.
Renate Kaiser and Career Team follow suit
Thanks to Heinrich Hoffmann, almost 800 students have received their training certificate in the last 26 years. The AdA courses will now be run in future by Renate Kaiser from the winter semester 2022/23 and will be supervised by Maria Schürer and Johanna Franka, the university’s own Career Team.
