Retirement of Karin Ott: The good soul of the Münchberg Campus

For 35 years, she was reliable as a room attendant and always there when she was needed – now Karin Ott was given a farewell retirement in a small ceremony attended by Chancellor Dagmar Pechstein, her direct superiors and colleagues. “Karin Ott was something like the good soul at the Münchberg site. She was happy to help where she could and also accompanied various celebrations at the Münchberg campus with catering, especially still in the old refectory,” said Chancellor Dagmar Pechstein.

As a trained textile machine operator, Karin Ott entered the service of the Free State of Bavaria on 1.10.1986 at the Coburg University of Applied Sciences, Münchberg site, as a room attendant. She will retire at the end of Jan. 31, 2022. “We have always been able to rely on Ms. Ott. Ms. Ott is a great person and we will miss her very much as a colleague,” said Josef Martin of the Hof University Facilities Management Department.

Connection to the Münchberg campus

Ever forgetting Hof University, however, is out of the question for Karin Ott. “As a Münchberg resident, I will of course remain connected to the Münchberg campus – even in retirement!”
