The nationwide Read Aloud Day will take place on November 21, 2025. Together with thousands of people, Hof University of Applied Sciences is also setting a public example for reading aloud – with a reading event to which children aged 3-6 years are invited to discover exciting stories together with students. It starts on Friday, 21.11.2025 at 4 pm in the café “Zur Auszeit” (Karolinenstraße 30, 95028 Hof).

Students from the Business Psychology course will read from interesting and inspiring books. The event will be accompanied musically by the children’s band “Blue Sky” (music school of the Hof Symphony Orchestra, band trainer Ewa Margareta Cyran).
About the nationwide reading aloud day:
Read Aloud Day is a joint initiative of DIE ZEIT, Stiftung Lesen and Deutsche Bahn Stiftung and has been setting an example for reading aloud every year on the third Friday in November since 2004. The aim is to inspire children and adults to read aloud and to encourage people to volunteer to promote reading. After all, reading aloud helps children to learn to read well themselves. The nationwide reading aloud day is extended with the digital reading aloud festival, which offers children access to exciting stories regardless of their location with reading aloud videos. The nationwide reading aloud day is now Germany’s largest reading aloud festival.
