CHE ranking as a decision-making aid for prospective students
The CHE University Ranking is the most comprehensive and renowned university ranking in the German-speaking world. It is published annually in the ZEIT Study Guide and is primarily aimed at prospective students who want to get an idea of the study conditions at German universities based on objective data and subjective assessments. Each year, only some of the subjects are re-evaluated – in 2025, the focus was on engineering degree courses. The ranking takes into account both statistical indicators and students’ assessments of course content, courses offered, supervision, facilities and practical relevance.
