The Bavarian State Ministry of Digital Affairs, in cooperation with the Hof University of Applied Sciences [Beruf-plus-Studium division], invites applications for 15 scholarships for the Bachelor’s degree program in Digital Administration in the winter semester 2021/22.
At the opening event in March, Bavarian Minister of State for Digital Affairs Judith Gerlach described the new Competence Center Digital Administration as an important pillar of the Digital Campus Bavaria. She said it was important that “someone is there to drive the digital transformation organizationally and legally, someone with smart methods, with social skills, to take employees along with them in the digital transformation process in the administration.” This is precisely where the part-time bachelor’s degree program in digital administration comes in, for which the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs is offering 15 partial scholarships in the winter semester of 2021/22.
Forward-looking teaching concept in the digital twin of a public authority
In addition to research and practice, teaching is an important pillar in the triad of the Competence Center Digital Administration. In teaching, interdisciplinary teams develop realistic solutions that can then be quickly put into practice – in line with the holistic management model for public administration, which is already the guiding principle of the Digital Administration degree program at Hof University of Applied Sciences
With the future implementation of teaching in the digital twin of a public authority, greater practical relevance can be created for the students and the teaching can be made application-oriented. An important component of the part-time approach is the digital teaching concept. This ensures the compatibility of work and study and still guarantees a personal exchange between students and teachers.
Applications can be submitted as of now
The application phase for the scholarships is now open. The scholarships are granted for the entire study of the Bachelor’s program Digital Administration, but for a maximum of 8 semesters. The total amount of funding is 50% of the tuition fees.
