Crisis Service Upper Franconia
You don’t know what to do and are losing your footing?
The Crisis Service Upper Franconia offers advice and guidance around the clock. By calling the toll-free number 0800/655 300, students can reach experts on the crisis line who will listen, ask questions and clarify the situation together.
The Crisis Service Upper Franconia is the core element of the Bavarian Mental Health Assistance Act (BayPsychKHG) and is there for people in mental distress. The goal of this crisis care is to intercept mental crisis situations on an outpatient basis through prompt intervention.
In particularly urgent cases, a visit by a mobile outreach team on site can also help to alleviate a crisis.
Psychological counseling of the Studentenwerk Oberfranken
Studying is a privilege, but also quite a demanding task. Difficulties in studying, but also personal, health or social problems can affect the course and success of a study. Exam nerves, learning problems, social anxiety, depression, illness, money problems, problems in the social environment such as family or friends, etc. sometimes seem unsolvable and unmanageable.
A professional conversation can help to turn problems into goals again and to find the right ways. Therefore, since the summer semester 2014, the Studentenwerk Oberfranken offers all students the possibility to take advantage of psychological counseling and/or social counseling.
Dipl. Psych. Barbara Grüninger-Frost is in Hof on two Tuesdays a month for personal consultations (by appointment). The counseling sessions take place on the premises of the residential complex Am Eichelberg, Albert-Einstein-Strasse 2.
Appointments can be requested and made at the Psychological Counseling Center of the Studentenwerk Oberfranken by calling 0921/5559-52 or by emailing psycho.beratung@studentenwerk-oberfranken.de. Counseling is free of charge and strictly confidential.
