Science, research, business practice – this unique triad is the focus of the 37th Hof Nonwovens Days, one of the largest specialist congresses in Europe. On November 6 and 7, 2024, 22 specialist lectures are on the program. Over 360 participants from companies and institutes from 10 countries are expected to attend. 77 companies and institutes will be presenting innovative products and pioneering ideas in the exhibition area.
One of the main themes of the event in the Freiheitshalle in Hof is sustainability and recycling. The nonwovens industry can contribute to sustainable solutions here. In addition, nonwovens are increasingly being used in technologically demanding areas. In this area of tension lies the potential for the development of highly interesting products and the opportunity for further growth.
The Institute of Materials Science at Hof University of Applied Sciences (ifm) and the Fraunhofer Application Center for Textile Fiber Ceramics (TFK) will be presenting their research projects.
Institute Director Prof. Dr. Frank Ficker is co-organizer of the Nonwovens Days and moderator during the symposium. The ifm is participating with a presentation and is represented as an exhibitor.
The two-day symposium is being organized by Verbandservice GmbH der Bayerischen Textil- und Bekleidungsindustrie together with Hof University of Applied Sciences, Institute of Materials Science, the Staatliches Berufliches Schulzentrum Textil und Bekleidung Münchberg and the Berufliches Fortbildungszentrum der Bayerischen Wirtschaft. The event is also supported by the Sächsisches Textilforschungsinstitut e. V. (STFI) Chemnitz.
