Cooperation with AOK: Focus on the health of employees and students

The University of Applied Sciences Hof and the AOK Bayern – Directorate Hof are expanding their cooperation as of October 1. The focus here is on the health of students and university employees. The aim is to ensure that studying and working at the university is as healthy as possible. For example, potential health hazards are to be identified and, as far as possible, reduced. Likewise, the goal is to increase the individual’s awareness of healthy living and working.

Step toward greater well-being

“The health of the people who live and work in our home region is very close to our hearts,” emphasizes AOK Director Wolfgang Hofmann. “That’s why I’m particularly pleased that, together with Hof University of Applied Sciences, we can take another step toward greater health and well-being for the population. Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Lehmann, President of Hof University of Applied Sciences, added: “We welcome the expansion of our cooperation. Ultimately, this helps to increase the attractiveness of studying in Hof and the attractiveness of our educational institution – all in the interest of our beautiful region.”

Such a program contributes to the attractiveness of studying in Hof!

Together, they want to support students and employees of Hof University in living health-consciously and strengthening their own health competence. In addition, new offers in the areas of exercise, nutrition and relaxation are to be developed.

As long as no on-site activities are allowed due to the Corona pandemic, students can participate in special AOK prevention courses, such as yoga or back coaching, free of charge online to stay fit for their studies. As soon as it is possible again, there will of course be advice and offers again in personal contact.
