First “Dies Academicus”: Hof University of Applied Sciences presents its research

On April 25, the 1st Dies Academicus will take place at Hof University of Applied Sciences. Interested parties will have the opportunity to learn more about the research activities and current projects at Hof University of Applied Sciences.

In three lecture slots, participants can
inform
themselves on the topics of technology, business / law andIT
/ digital data acquisition. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to get in touch directly with researchers at Hof University of Applied Sciences and bring new ideas into the conversation.

Program of the 1st Dies Academicus

After the welcome by the university president Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c.. Jürgen Lehmann and the District President of Upper Franconia, Heidrun Piwernetz, the presentation of the Graduate Awards 2020 will take place. This will be followed by lectures by professors from the university’s four faculties and research institutes, as well as short presentations by the award-winning graduates.
An impulse lecture on science will be delivered by the well-known Franconian cabaret artist Klaus Karl-Kraus, getting the laughing muscles going.
Starting at 1:30 p.m., the afternoon program will feature the presentation of the Digital Award of Teaching 2020 & 2021 and the Special Award Research 2021. The event ends with networking and a snack.

Aim of the 1st Dies Academicus

The goal of the 1st Dies Academicus is to make the “Forschende Hochschule Hof” and its projects known and to further advance the research infrastructure of the region:

With the Dies Academicus we create a format that shows how extensive and diverse research at Hof University of Applied Sciences has become. The event is generally aimed at people interested in research, at scientists, but also very specifically at developers and research departments of companies.”
