The 7th Conference on Production Systems and Logistics (CPSL) took place from March 18 to 21, 2025 in Lima, Peru – one of the leading conferences in the field of production systems and logistics. Prof. Dr. Paul Molenda from Hof University of Applied Sciences was not only active as session chair, but also presented current research results on the topic of sustainable production.
In his presentation “Matrix Production in Remanufacturing: Potentials, Design and Challenges”, which he co-authored with Jan Koller, Vihasith Ganga and Anke Müller, he highlighted the potentials and challenges of matrix production in the remanufacturing of products. The research contributes to the further development of sustainable production processes and supports the transformation towards a circular economy.
In addition to the conference, the focus was also on international university cooperation: Prof. Molenda visited the UTEC (Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología) and the USIL (Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola) in Lima as well as the UCSP (Universidad Católica San Pablo) in Arequipa. The aim of the talks was to develop joint online courses, initiate student projects and exchange programs and establish long-term research collaborations and double-degree agreements.
Hof University of Applied Sciences is thus consistently pursuing its course of internationalization and practice-oriented research and building bridges for future student mobility and academic exchange.
We would like to thank our partner universities in Peru for the valuable discussions and look forward to future projects!
