During a small ceremony, Prof. Dr. Manuela Wimmer was honored for 25 years of public service. University President Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c.. Jürgen Lehmann congratulated Prof. Dr. Wimmer and expressed his thanks for her many years of dedicated service.
Manuela Wimmer has been a professor at Hof University of Applied Sciences since 2013, specializing in environmental engineering, project management and sustainability. In addition, she was the scientific founding director of the Institute for Water and Energy Management (iwe) at Hof University of Applied Sciences in 2015. With her research group “Sustainability and Project Management in Water Management” and as head of the study program “Sustainable Water Management and Engineering”, she contributes to innovative and future-oriented topics around water in research and teaching. Also in terms of sustainable development, she is committed to equal opportunities for female students, professors and female teachers as the Women’s Representative of the Faculty of Engineering.
