Upper Franconia meets the future: University of Bamberg invites to the IT Forum Upper Franconia 2023

For the eleventh time in a row, the four Upper Franconian colleges and universities are alternating in hosting the Upper Franconia IT Forum. On Wednesday, March 29, 2023, the University of Bamberg invites you to the IT Forum Upper Franconia 2023 on the ERBA Campus under the motto “Upper Franconia meets the future!”. Prof. Dr. René Peinl, head of the Institute for Information Systems (iisys) at Hof University of Applied Sciences and head of the Master’s degree program in Computer Science, will also be taking part. He will speak on the topic “Large Language Models – ChatGPT on the way to general AI?”.

The industrial and innovative region of Upper Franconia is home to numerous “hidden champions” and global market leaders in the IT sector. The IT Forum increases the public perception of Upper Franconia as an IT location and enables the networking of committed small and medium-sized IT companies, the industry network IT Cluster Upper Franconia and the four Upper Franconian universities in the Technology Alliance Upper Franconia (TAO). In addition, the IT Forum acts as a showcase for regional IT suppliers and service providers as well as the four universities to present suitable solutions for the requirements of today and tomorrow.

Highlights of the IT Forum 2023

Keynotes by Christian Brauer (ZF Friedrichshafen AG) and Jörg Schrepfer (Valeo Schalter und Sensoren GmbH);

5 sessions on artificial intelligence and sustainability in IT as well as pitches from regional start-ups;

Contact fair with 13 exhibiting IT companies from the region;

Start-Up Lounge for founders, entrepreneurs and people interested in founding a company
