The workshop series “Career Strategies and Personal Competencies” took place for the first time this winter semester. This ongoing offering by the Women’s Representative is aimed at all interested female students and academic staff at Hof University.
The program was planned to start last summer semester, but had to be cancelled due to the Corona pandemic. The restrictions also had an impact on the planning of the workshop series in the winter semester 2020/21. Thus, most of the workshops had to be switched to online. However, this great challenge was excellently mastered by all speakers, so that at the end there was a consistently positive feedback from the participants.
The topics of the workshops, which were specifically aimed at women, were:
- Application 4.0, Networking, Social Media, Self-Marketing
- Gender pay gap and gender stereotypes in business
- Women & career: Cleverly to the goal – use the chance!
- Salary negotiations with the GENDER formula
- Gender-sensitive language
- Sovereignty training for women
- Presentation training for women
- Stress management
- Business outfit
- Fall down – straighten your crown – move on
In the summer semester of 2021, the next round of strengthening career strategies and personal skills is already underway. If you feel like taking part, it’s best to regularly check the Women’s Representative page on the university’s website and keep your eyes open on Instagram and the like. The number of participants will be limited to 15, and the motto here is “first come, first served.” An info event on the workshop series will take place on 17.03.2021 via Zoom.
