Excursion to Siemens Healthineers in Forchheim – Marketing meets medical technology

What makes for successful marketing in the healthcare sector? The students on the Marketing Management Master’s program got to the bottom of this question during an exciting excursion to Siemens Healthineers in Forchheim – and were surprised at how close the topics covered in the lecture are to real-life corporate practice.

As part of their Master’s degree course at Hof University of Applied Sciences, the students visited Siemens Healthineers, one of the world’s leading companies in the field of medical technology. The day began with a guided tour of the impressive Experience Center, where the company’s innovative products and solutions are presented in a vivid and interactive way.

Another highlight was a visit to the Crystal Center, the center of detector production. There it became clear how much precision, technology and process reliability is behind Siemens Healthineers’ products. The open and practical exchange with experts from marketing and sales was particularly impressive for many students. Key questions such as “Who is my customer?”, multi-stage marketing, international market approaches, strategic positioning and the user experience in the healthcare sector were discussed. Many participants were amazed at how closely the content of the lectures was linked to the challenges and strategies in a real business context.

The excursion was rounded off with information on career opportunities in an international company – a perspective that was particularly exciting for many participants. Many thanks to the Siemens Healthineers team, especially Reto Merges and Martina Hartmann, for their open hospitality, the exciting insights and the valuable exchange. The excursion was a great enrichment for all participants – characterized by practical relevance, inspiration and intensive discussions.
