How can we design teaching that really reaches students—in a way that is skills-oriented, engaging, and digitally effective? These and other questions will be addressed at the Teaching & Learning Days (TdLL), which, after a temporary postponement, will now take place for the first time at Hof University of Applied Sciences on April 20 and 27, 2026.

The event will focus on the exchange of ideas about good university teaching: teachers, staff, and committed students will engage in dialogue, reflect on current challenges, and jointly develop perspectives for teaching and examinations of the future.
Teaching & Learning Dialogue: Monday, April 27, 2026 (1-4 p.m.)
The central dialogue event is aimed particularly at teachers and offers space for discussion, inspiration, and networking. The topics covered will include the following questions:
- How can students be actively involved in teaching?
- How can teaching and examinations be genuinely competence-oriented?
- Which digital formats enrich teaching and examinations?
The projects “DigihyP – Digitally Supported Learning in STEM in Applied, Hybrid Teaching at Campus Universities “ and “ii.oo – Implementing Digital Competence-Oriented Testing, “ which were successfully completed at the end of 2025, provide impetus. They offer practical insights into innovative digital teaching and examination concepts at the university.
A mini gallery walk invites visitors to learn about examples of good practice, find inspiration, and take away concrete approaches for their own teaching. The joint dialogue room focuses on exchange: here, perspectives are brought together, experiences are shared, and new approaches are further developed.

TdLL as an overall concept: incorporating student perspectives
The Days of Teaching & Learning are deliberately designed as a multi-part format. The dialogue on April 27 will be complemented by a preliminary workshop for students, which will take place a week earlier. In this workshop, students will develop their perspectives and ideas on the future design of teaching and examinations.
Selected results will be incorporated into the dialogue event, thus forming an important basis for exchange between teachers and students. This ensures that student perspectives are not only heard, but also structurally integrated into the discussion.
