The 42nd Winter Championships of the Bavarian universities took place in Bayerisch Eisenstein in 2026 and were hosted by Landshut University of Applied Sciences. In wintry conditions and a great atmosphere, employees from all over Bavaria came together to compete in various sporting disciplines and promote cross-university exchange. Since 2008, Hof University of Applied Sciences has been pursuing a clear focus on sustainable action with the mission statement of the "Green Tech University". This mission statement forms the basis for creating a long-term balance between ecological, social and economic requirements. The university-specific sustainability strategy has created a framework with concrete measures to systematically promote sustainable development and anchor it in everyday university life in the long term. The KICKSTART teams have six months to develop their idea into an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) or prototype. The 38th Hof Nonwovens Days took place in the Freiheitshalle on November 5 and 6, 2025. The renowned specialist event is one of the most important industry meetings for nonwovens in Europe and brings together experts from industry, research and development.
