Three Ukrainian researchers visited the Institute for Sustainable Water Systems in May as part of the project "German-Ukrainian Strategy for Phosphorus Reduction in the Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant Effluent (DeUS-Phor)". During the visit to Germany, the participants agreed to draw up a project proposal for an exchange for internships and master's courses and to submit a joint application to Horizon Europe or Eureka next year. Hof University of Applied Sciences has been organizing an International Teaching Week (ITW) every two years for over ten years. Lecturers from all over the world come to Hof for this event. The university's more than 130 partner universities also regularly offer similar formats and invite international guest lecturers. Jürgen Ott has been working in the Faculty of Computer Science since January 1, 2002, initially as a project engineer and since July 1, 2004 as a laboratory engineer. Since then, he has played a key role in supervising and designing the laboratories and is involved in cross-university events such as Girls' Day, Open Day and the Long Night of Science for the Faculty of Computer Science. Once again this year, Hof University of Applied Sciences offered 37 girls a varied program of career guidance workshops at its campuses in Hof and Münchberg as part of Girls' Day 2025. In addition to Girls' Day, the university also held its second Boy's Day in Münchberg and Kronach on 3 April 2025. Both locations welcomed 17 boys who were able to get a taste of study programs and professions in which men are underrepresented. [more]

During the Easter vacations, Hof University of Applied Sciences is inviting school pupils to two information days at its campuses in Münchberg and Selb. Here, everything revolves around the topic of design. On Thursday, 24.04.2025, the Bachelor's degree courses in Communication Design and Textile Design will be presented at the Münchberg campus. On Friday, 25.04. and Saturday, 26.04.2025, prospective students are invited online and on site at the Selb campus to get to know the Bachelor's degree in Design and Mobility and the Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence Aided Mobility Design, which starts in the winter semester 2025/26.
