Hof University of Applied Sciences has been organizing an International Teaching Week (ITW) every two years for over ten years. Lecturers from all over the world come to Hof for this event.
The university's more than 130 partner universities also regularly offer similar formats and invite international guest lecturers. In May, Martin Lochmüller took up an offer from Babeș-Bolyai University in Romania and took part in the ITW there. [more]

3 nails in bronze - that is the result of the students from the Bachelor of Communication Design at Hof University of Applied Sciences at the Art Directors Club (ADC) Talent Award 2025, the most important competition for young talent for design universities and design students in Germany. Jürgen Ott has been working in the Faculty of Computer Science since January 1, 2002, initially as a project engineer and since July 1, 2004 as a laboratory engineer. Since then, he has played a key role in supervising and designing the laboratories and is involved in cross-university events such as Girls' Day, Open Day and the Long Night of Science for the Faculty of Computer Science. Once again this year, Hof University of Applied Sciences offered 37 girls a varied program of career guidance workshops at its campuses in Hof and Münchberg as part of Girls' Day 2025. In addition to Girls' Day, the university also held its second Boy's Day in Münchberg and Kronach on 3 April 2025. Both locations welcomed 17 boys who were able to get a taste of study programs and professions in which men are underrepresented. [more]

At the beginning of December, a group of students from the "Sustainable Water Management and Engineering" Master's course visited the Hof wastewater treatment plant. From November 22 to 24, the German University Championships (DHM) Swimming 2024 took place in the indoor swimming pool in Munich's Olympic Park. The championship is organized once a year by different colleges and universities.

Today, Tuesday, October 1, 2024, the Bavarian universities of applied sciences start the winter semester and Hof University of Applied Sciences is celebrating an anniversary: Exactly 30 years ago, the first lectures in business administration took place at the newly founded university in the 1994/95 winter semester!
