25 years of service: Congratulations to laboratory engineer Jürgen Ott

Jürgen Ott has been working in the Faculty of Computer Science since January 1, 2002, initially as a project engineer and since July 1, 2004 as a laboratory engineer. Since then, he has played a key role in supervising and designing the laboratories and is involved in cross-university events such as Girls' Day, Open Day and the Long Night of Science for the Faculty of Computer Science. Future Day 2025: Girls’ Day and Boys’ Day at Hof University of Applied Sciences a complete success again this year

Once again this year, Hof University of Applied Sciences offered 37 girls a varied program of career guidance workshops at its campuses in Hof and Münchberg as part of Girls' Day 2025. In addition to Girls' Day, the university also held its second Boy's Day in Münchberg and Kronach on 3 April 2025. Both locations welcomed 17 boys who were able to get a taste of study programs and professions in which men are underrepresented. [more]

University information days: Discover the innovative design degree programs at the Münchberg and Selb campuses

During the Easter vacations, Hof University of Applied Sciences is inviting school pupils to two information days at its campuses in Münchberg and Selb. Here, everything revolves around the topic of design. On Thursday, 24.04.2025, the Bachelor's degree courses in Communication Design and Textile Design will be presented at the Münchberg campus. On Friday, 25.04. and Saturday, 26.04.2025, prospective students are invited online and on site at the Selb campus to get to know the Bachelor's degree in Design and Mobility and the Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence Aided Mobility Design, which starts in the winter semester 2025/26. City lecture: A return to nuclear power – a good alternative?

The energy transition is polarizing the current political debate. While fossil fuels are experiencing a resurgence in the USA, wind, photovoltaics and the use of biomass to generate energy are being expanded in Germany. In the past, this has led to enormous price increases in electricity costs. Hof University goes online with a course generator that is unique in Germany

Hof University of Applied Sciences, named "Germany's most popular university" in 2023 and 2024 by the studycheck.de portal, is setting new standards with an innovation for prospective students: prospective students can now find and design their dream degree program using a degree program generator.
